Dès le début del'ère chrétienne, les théologiens voient l'homosexualité comme une atteinte àl'ordre divin, condamnation qui n'exclut pourtant pas une certaine tolérancesociale. C'est à partir du XIVe siècle que la répression s'abat sur les"sodomites", fréquemment envoyés au bûcher. On examinera la figureemblématique de saint Sébastien dans l'imaginaire homosexuel et le problèmede l'absence de terme pour désigner l'homosexualité à l'époque médiévale.

Includes handouts. Snacks & drinks provided during breaks. Conversation. Vocabulary. Grammar (review of the verb tenses, prepositions and pronouns). The material used in our intensive immersion courses is different for every intensive offered, so students can repeat our program at the same level and cover various aspects of the language.

PRONUNCIATION INTENSIVE
by Dominique Brémond. Saturday, July 10. $85. Includes handouts. Snacks & drinks provided during the breaks.
10:00 to 11:00 a.m. - the 7 basic sounds and nasals.
11:00 to noon - combinations of vowels and special sounds.
12:00 to 1:00 p.m. - liaisons, intonations and rhythm.
1:00 to 2:00 p.m. - contractions and spoken French.

- Our optional $65 yearly membership gives you a 10% discount on all group classes for one year.

The French Class Membership is not required to enroll in our classes. You’ll receive 10% off all group classes for a year and other benefits. Please call us for more information

The French Class policy
We are sorry we cannot give refunds for group classes unless we are notified by phone one business day before the first day of class during our office hours: Monday to Thursday 9 am to 5 pm, Friday 9 am to 2 pm.
• No refunds, credits or make-ups for missed workshops and intensive courses.
• A $30 processing fee will be applied to a refund or credit .
• No credits after the first day of class.
• Credits are non-transferable and may not be applied to private classes, workshops or intensive courses.
• If The French Class cancels a class, students may transfer to another class or receive a full refund.
• Neither books nor memberships are refundable.
